What it proves
The Green Card proves you understand the basic health, safety and environmental rules needed to work safely on a UK construction site.
Where it's accepted
Most main contractors, house builders and local authority sites accept the Green Labourer Card as proof of site-safety awareness.
How long it lasts
The card is valid for five years. Before it expires, you will need a valid CITB test and the current qualification to renew it.
Career progression
Many labourers use the Green Card as a stepping stone, then move on to a Blue Skilled Worker Card after gaining a trade NVQ.
