CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test - everything you need to know

The CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test (also known as the CITB HS&E Test, CITB touch screen test or simply the CITB Test) is the industry-standard health and safety exam you must pass to apply for almost any CSCS Card. There are three versions: the CITB Operatives Test, the CITB Specialist Test and the CITB Managers & Professionals (MAP) Test. Each version has 50 multiple-choice questions and lasts 45 minutes.

CITB Operatives Test

The CITB Operatives HS&E Test is required for the CSCS Green Labourer Card and CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card. Also known as the CITB Green Card Test, CITB Blue Card Test or CITB HS&E Operatives Test.

CITB Specialist Test

The CITB Specialist HS&E Test covers specialist trades such as demolition, plumbing (JIB), highways, tunnelling, HVAC and refractory. It is required if your CSCS Card scheme demands a specialist qualification.

CITB Managers & Professionals (MAP) Test

The CITB MAP Test is required for the CSCS Gold Supervisor Card, CSCS Black Manager Card and CSCS White Professional Card. Also referred to as the CITB Supervisor Test, CITB Managers Test or CITB Black Card Test.

CITB Test booking, pass mark & test centres
